The Yamaha AV7 Violin's solid spruce top and its maple neck, back, and sides are seasoned and aged more than five years, fully hand carved, and and expertly graduated for rich and sweet, yet powerful sound. The back and sides are highly flamed and the hand-applied varnish has a reddish-golden shading. It is fitted with a solid ebony fingerboard, a solid boxwood chin rest, and boxwood pegs for a professional look, feel, and performance. Thomastik Dominant strings are standard.
