Experience Tonal Romance With This Taylor 2013 410ce Cutaway Acoustic Electric - Old Stock* - An Ovangkol Back And Sides Married To A Sitka Spruce Top

This 410ce cutaway creates tonal romance between the classic Dreadnought body style and modern Taylor refinements to create an inspiring playing experience. Solid ovangkol shares the room with rosewood’s full-spectrum tonal range, but with a slightly greater midrange with a bright and focused top end. Pickers and strummers enjoy the blend of power and articulation as well as Taylor’s sleek, playable neck. White binding, progressive dot fretboard inlays and a three-ring rosette supply understated style, while the onboard Taylor Expression System pickup and preamp deliver a smooth plug-and-play experience. The guitar ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

As a guitar soundboard, Sitka spruce is the tonewood standard for the modern era. It’s used with nearly all of the guitars that Taylor makes. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a broad dynamic range, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for everything from fingerpicking to aggressive strumming and flatpicking. Safe to say Sitka spruce is Bob Taylor’s personal favorite for an all-around great guitar.

Taylor sources their Sitka Spruce from the coastal rainforests of Alaska and Canada. The soundboard choice for most guitars, Sitka spruce produces a broad dynamic range and accommodates a versatile range of playing styles. The most commonly used wood for guitar tops, Sitka generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking.

Ovangkol is African relative of rosewood, ovangkol shares many of rosewood’s tonal properties, including a wide spectrum from lows and highs. Differences include a slightly fuller midrange and a bright treble response resembling that of koa.

Over a decade ago, Taylor introduced the guitar world to a sustainable tonewood known as ovangkol. An African relative of rosewood, it's a great sounding wood that shares many of rosewood's tonal properties, with a slightly fuller midrange and a top end that's not quite as bright as maple. Being lesser known than rosewood, ovangkol has been a sleeper hit over the years, asserting itself as an instant contender among unsuspecting players who test-drive a variety of Taylor models.

*Old Stock means this is no longer current but still unsold new dealer stock that is commensurately reduced in price. It does retain the full new Taylor Lifetime Warranty and represents an excellent value. All are in play-ready condition; an unboxed example may occasionally show minor scuffs on either the guitar or it's case; this is always considered in our pricing the instrument.
