Start That Toe To Tapping With The Gretsch G6122-59 Vintage Select Edition '59 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman Hollow Body Electric Guitar W/ Bigsby - Ebony Fingerboard

The G6122-1959 Country Gentleman was designed in close conjunction with Paul Yandell, Chet Atkin's rhythm guitarist and band leader of 25 years, and precisely replicates this most famous 59 6122 model, which has been used by discerning players everywhere in nearly every style of music.

Gretsch introduced the now famous Chet Atkins 6122 Country Gentleman guitar in 1958 to be the high end complement to the popular 6120 Chet Atkins Hollow Body model. The Country Gentleman became immediately popular, and was heard on many hit records in the late '50s and throughout the '60s and beyond, not only by Chet Atkins himself, but by legions of players who emerged from the British Invasion and '60s boom, who revered it for it's terrific and elegant sound as well as the look and feel. It was so big, so luxurious - and just so rockin'!! The Country Gentleman has left an indelible print embedded into the history of popular music.
