The Classic Series ’70s Stratocaster returns you to the exciting 1970s heyday when the instrument conquered the world and was positively all over the place—especially the charts. Also, many of today’s guitar heroes grew up and were taking their first formative steps back then, and a ’70s-era Strat was the only kind they knew and loved. This guitar gives you that sound, style and spirit, with authentic features including a “bullet” truss rod system, three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt neck adjustment, post-1965 “large” headstock and more.
The Fender '70s Stratocaster guitar features an ash body, "U"-shaped neck with bullet truss rod nut, maple or rosewood fingerboard, large headstock with '70s logo, three vintage-style single-coil pickups and vintage-style "F" tuners. Platform shoes and lava lamp sold separately.
As a Pennsylvania State licensed Occupational Therapist I provide therapy services to pre-school age children. When Fender Musical Instruments Company released the Fender Classic Series '70's Stratocaster in 1999 I just knew this was the perfect instrument to use for my therapy sessions. I purchased the "Ash" body Sunburst finish with Maple Neck as this particular version looked absolutely gorgeous. I played that Fender Stratocaster for many many years until it was stolen from my car in the ghetto's of Philadelphia. I have always wanted to replace that "first year" Fender Classic Series 70's Stratocaster. I am currently working with the professional staff at Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center on a replacement. My hope is to acquire a replacement so I will be able to continue playing children's songs during my therapy sessions for kiddo's with developmental delays. This is a fantastic "Reissue" of the classic 1970's three bolt neck large headstock with that unmistakable black "Fender Stratocaster" logo which lets everybody know this guitar is a Fender Stratocaster. Probably the most recognized electric guitars of all time. These instruments are made with the highest standards and quality control. I loved everything about my beloved Fender Classic Series '70's Stratocaster. These are awesome instruments. I hope to acquire a replacement for my stolen 1999 model in the near future.
