Rock Out Harder Than Ever With This DW Jazz One Of A Kind Dave Grohl 7 Piece Drum Set Shell Pack

Dave Grohl is one of the most prolific musicians of this era.  From his early work behind the kit with Scream and Nirvana through his years serving as frontman to the Foo Fighters, he has inspired a generation of would be musicians to get out there and play.  One of his more recent projects with Them Crooked Vultures, a joint-venture between Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme and legendary bassist John Paul Jones see Dave once again behind the drums.  His new drumset is a stunning one-of-a-kind DW Jazz series kit in Laser Blue finish.  This example seen at the PASIC 2016 show is lightly used and in mint condition and includes everything pictured.

    About DW Jazz Series Shells

From straight-ahead Bop, to Big Band, Fusion, Latin, or even Hard Rock, DW Jazz Series® drums provide a warm, tonal spectrum that is studio-friendly and perfectly suited for live applications. Inspired by the American drum sounds of the late 70’s and early 80’s, the Jazz Series shells feature a thick gumwood core that can be combined with maple, mahogany, or cherry inner and outer plies. Jazz shells can also be customized with any available California Custom Shop finish and drum hardware color.

This is how DW does Jazz.

At the heart of every DW Jazz Series® shell is a thick 3-ply gum core. The soft, porous gumwood offers a warm, round, punchy sound that can be complemented by either the resonant attack of maple or the musical qualities of mahogany or cherry. These combinations can even be intermixed within a kit to further customize specific sonic preferences. And unlike Collector’s Series® or DW Classics™, DW Jazz Series® drums don’t have reinforcement hoops, allowing for a more open, less focused sound.
