Background

I began drumming about 30 years ago, after hearing Cheap Trick's Live at Budokan. My high school experiences range from marching band to gospel band to punk. In 1988, I began playing professionally, which eventually led to tours throughout the US, Canada, Europe, & Japan. Over the years I have been on over 30 recordings. I currently play with Office of Future Plans & Channels (Dischord Records).

History With Chucks

In 1994, I moved from Pittsburgh to Silver Spring to join the band Kerosene 454. After my first visit to the store to pick up some drum lugs from Dick Bardt, I returned the following day to apply for a job. Within two days I was hired by Mr. Levin himself. I started in drum stock. The job was flexible enough that I was able to be gone for two months at time on tour, which afforded me experiences I will never forget. After stocking shelves and building drum kits for the next four years, I traded in my t-shirt for a button-down and moved up to drum sales. Still to this day I find myself building drum kits, stocking shelves, and repairing snare drums, but I wouldn't change a thing.
