  • Pro Audio/Pro DJ Sales

    Based just outside of the nation’s capital, Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center is one of the largest dealers for Pro Audio and Pro DJ equipment in the United States.

    We are searching for a full-time experienced sales professional to add to our Pro Sound Department specializing in sale of all of equipment related to live sound reinforcement, installed sound solutions, studio recording, lighting, and Pro DJ.

      Requirements:
    • A passion for music and music technology.
    • Some evening and weekend availability.
    • Two years of Professional Audio experience.
    • Two years of hands-on experience with wired and wireless microphones.
    • Two years of hands-on experience with in-ear monitor systems.
    • A strong familiarity with the most common industry manufacturers, brands, models, and technology involved in:
      • Analog and digital mixers
      • Installed sound solutions
      • Speakers and line arrays
      • Wired and wireless microphones
      • In-ear and wedge monitor systems
      • Studio equipment
      • DJ controllers and media players
      • Lights, DMX, and truss
    • Computer literacy with a functional understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Navision, etc.).
    • Two years of sales experience preferred.

    Candidates should be self-motivated and enjoy working with a wide variety of colleagues and customers.

    Position is full-time (40 hours per week).

    Compensation is hourly plus commission for unlimited earning potential.

  • General Stock

    Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center seeks qualified candidates for two entry-level General Stock positions.

    These positions are full-time and come with competitive benefits such as health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and 401K.

      Job Duties:
    • Loading/ unloading delivery trucks.
    • Merchandising items.
    • Maintaining accurate inventory through physical inspection and the use of Microsoft Navision software.
    • Cycle counts.
    • Assisting with customer and salesmen needs.
      Requirements:
    • Must have some weekend and evening availability.
    • Steady and consistent employment history.
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Computer proficiency with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
    • Ability to lift 75 pounds regularly with ease.
    • Some college preferred.
    • 1-2 years stock or warehouse experience preferred.
    • Interest in the music industry or music retail preferred.

  • Orchestral String Instrument Repair Technician

    Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center has an immediate opening for highly skilled and experienced Orchestral String Instrument repair technicians. Located just outside of the nation’s capital, Chuck Levin’s has been the leading independent strings retailer since 1958.

    We are interested in seasoned veteran repair technicians as well as recent repair school graduates. Applicants must have the ability to perform all manner of repairs on instruments of the violin family, including double bass.

    Graduate certification from an accredited repair school or two years of instrument repair experience is required.

  • Receptionist/Shipping Administrator

    Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center seeks dependable full-time receptionist to assist Administration and Shipping departments.

    Qualified candidates must have at least two years of receptionist or general office experience.

    Job requires ability to multi-task and interface with various people via email, phone, and in person. Person should be outgoing and enjoy dealing directly with customers. Excellent communication and typing skills are essential. Candidates must be able to answer phones professionally and assist with data entry and filing.

    Flexibility to work some evenings and/ or Saturdays is required. A background in shipping assistance is highly preferred. The position will entail assisting with shipping quotes, generating accurate shipping labels, and comparing shipping costs across multiple platforms to find the most cost effective and time efficient method possible.

    Basic knowledge of musical equipment is a plus.
