  • Orchestral String Instrument Repair Technician

    Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center has an immediate opening for highly skilled and experienced Orchestral String Instrument repair technicians. Located just outside of the nation’s capital, Chuck Levin’s has been the leading independent strings retailer since 1958.

    We are interested in seasoned veteran repair technicians as well as recent repair school graduates. Applicants must have the ability to perform all manner of repairs on instruments of the violin family, including double bass.

    Graduate certification from an accredited repair school or two years of instrument repair experience is required.

    Compensation will be based on experience and productivity.

  • Pro Audio / Pro DJ Sales

    Based just outside of the nation’s capital, Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center is one of the largest dealers for Pro Audio and Pro DJ equipment in the United States.

    We are searching for a full-time experienced sales professional to add to our Pro Sound Department, specializing in sale of all of equipment related to live sound reinforcement, installed sound solutions, studio recording, lighting, and Pro DJ.

    Requirements:

    * A passion for music and music technology.
    * Some evening and weekend availability.
    * Two years of Professional Audio experience.
    * Two years of hands-on experience with wired and wireless microphones.
    * Two years of hands-on experience with in-ear monitor systems.
    * A strong familiarity with the most common industry manufacturers, brands, models, and technology involved in:

    o Analog and digital mixers
    o Installed sound solutions
    o Speakers and line arrays
    o Wired and wireless microphones
    o In-ear and wedge monitor systems
    o Studio equipment
    o DJ controllers and media players
    o Lights, DMX, and truss
    * Computer literacy with a functional understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Navision, etc.).

    * Two years of sales experience preferred.

    Candidates should be self-motivated and enjoy working with a wide variety of colleagues and customers.

    Position is full-time (40 hours per week)

    Compensation is hourly plus commission for unlimited earning potential.

  • Keyboard and Studio Recording Specialist

    Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center is one of the largest dealers for Keyboards, Workstations, Synthesizers and Studio Recording equipment in the United States, based just outside of the vibrant and thriving Washington, DC.

    We are searching for a full time experienced sales professional to add to our Keyboard and Studio Recording Department

    Qualified candidates should have two years of sales experience in a related field or two years of work experience related to musical equipment.

    Candidates must be comfortable and familiar with the following categories:

    * Keyboards
    * Workstations
    * Arrangers
    * Organs
    * Drum Machines
    * Analog and Digital Synthesizers
    * Beat Making equipment such as Machine and MPC
    * Modular Synthesizers
    * Audio Interfaces
    * Computer Based Recording Software and Plug-Ins
    * Studio Equipment such as Preamps, Outboard gear, Microphones, and Studio Monitors

    Candidates need an applicable knowledge of the products from brands such as Yamaha, KORG, Roland, Moog, Dave Smith, NORD, Presonus, Universal Audio, Slate Digital, Focusrite, Apogee, Antelope Audio, Dangerous Audio, Native Instruments, and more.

    Candidates must have a passion for music and music technology. Candidates should be self-motivated, have a strong proficiency in computer hardware and software, and enjoy working with a wide variety of people.

    Position is full time, 40 hours per week with some evening and weekend availability necessary. Compensation is hourly plus commission for unlimited earning potential. Excellent benefits including health, dental, life and 401K.
