  • Full-time Woodwind and Brass Repair Technicians
    (2 Positions Available)

    Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center has immediate openings for 2 experienced and highly skilled Woodwind and Brass Technicians.

    We are interested in seasoned veteran repair techs as well as recent repair school graduates.
    2 years of instrument repair experience or graduate certification from an accredited repair school is required.

    Compensation will be based on experience as well as productivity.

  • Pro Sound Sales

    Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center is one of the largest dealers for Pro Audio and Pro DJ equipment in the United States, based just outside of the vibrant and thriving Washington, DC.

    We are searching for a full time experienced sales professional to add to our Pro Audio/Pro DJ department specializing in Live Sound Reinforcement, Installed Sound Solutions, Studio Recording, Pro-DJ, Lighting, and related sales.

    Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years sales experience and/or professional Pro Audio related experience and expertise.

    Candidates should be well versed in the technology, make and models of some or all of the following:

    • Analog and Digital Mixers
    • Installed Sound Solutions
    • Speakers and Line Arrays
    • Wired and Wireless Microphones
    • Studio Equipment
    • DJ Controllers and Media Players
    • Lights, DMX, Truss

    Position type: Full Time, 40 hrs per week

    Candidates must have a passion for music and music technology. Candidates should be self-motivated, computer literate with a basic understanding of email and Microsoft Excel and enjoy working with a wide variety of people.

  • Database Administrative Assistant

    Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center, located in Wheaton Maryland, just outside our Nation’s Capital, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Database Administrative Assistant.

    As Database Administrative Assistant you will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our price book database encompassing over 500 vendors, hosted in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Additionally you will create and maintain a database of vendor information.

    Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Daily vendor file processing for new items, discontinued items, MSRP, MAP and cost changes
    • File and maintain all pricing materials
    • Coordinate among multiple departments to ensure minimal disruption of ongoing price book data including accounting and ecommerce departments
    • Develop and maintain strong vendor/distributor relationships
    • Construct and utilize a vendor information database
    • Request pricing catalogs in a timely manner
    • Develop and maintain a system to track and acquire new price books before their effective start dates
    Education and Experience:
    • 2 years professional experience in a database administrator or data entry position
    • HS Diploma or GED required
    • College degree preferred with an accounting or mathematics focus
    Skills:
    • Familiarity with SQL databases preferred
    • Knowledge of PDF Editors, ability to convert PDF files to Excel format
    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel formulas and functions for example, lookup, Vlookup, substitute, clean, copy / paste special, keep leading zeros, etc.
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions and calculation of percentage based discounts
    • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Self-motivated, team player
    Physical Demands:
    • Position requires prolonged sitting and sufficient manual dexterity to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and calculator.

  • Musical Instrument and Equipment
    Product Specialist

    Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center, located in Wheaton Maryland, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Musical Instrument Specialist to join our government and school sales department team.

    Qualified candidates must have knowledge of all musical instruments and accessories, as well as possess expertise of the musical instrument market.

    Candidates are required to have at least 3 years of experience submitting bids in all forms, including formal, email, and online with programs such as: E-School Mall, EVA, BuyBoard, BidNet and Onvia.

    Position requires experience with GSA pricing, military solicitation, and marketing to band directors nationwide.

  • Inventory Maintenance Specialist

    Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center, located in Wheaton Maryland, has an opening for a Full-Time Inventory Maintenance Specialist to maintain our inventory accuracy.

    As part of our newly-formed inventory team, you will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts on inventory stored in our many warehouses.

    An ideal candidate for this position is a highly-motivated, independent and detail oriented person with excellent computer and communication skills.

    Job Details
    • Perform cycle counts, physical inventory adjustments, and research discrepancies
    • Researches and resolves inventory and/or system problems
    • Plans, designs and coordinates cycle counts within departments
    • Work with web team and area managers to insure accurate inventory
    • Respond to concerns of department managers regarding discrepancies in counts in a timely and professional manner, while still being able to care for other duties.
    Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Required
    • High school GED
    • Some college preferred but not required (preferably 1-2 years/Associates degree)
    • Has at least 2-3 years of warehouse experience
    • Has experience leading cycle counts in multiple departments
    • Has experience in shipping and receiving
    • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and NAV or other retail based inventory systems
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Detailed orientated and the ability to follow through on all tasks
    • Must be able to work with little to no supervision
    • Ability to make arithmetical computations (multiplication, division, percentage calculations, addition and subtraction)
    • Knowledge of inventory management and control disciplines and computerized inventory record keeping systems
    • Some background in musical instruments or the like preferred
