  • Full-time Woodwind Repair Technicians

    Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center, has an immediate opening for highly skilled and experienced woodwind repair technicians. Located just outside of the nation’s capital, Chuck Levin’s has been the leading independent brass and woodwind retailer since 1958.

    We are interested in seasoned veteran repair technicians as well as recent repair school graduates.

    Graduate certification from an accredited repair school or two years of instrument repair experience is required.

    Compensation will be based on your experience as well as productivity.

  • Pro Sound Sales

    Chuck Levin's Washington Music Center is one of the largest dealers for Pro Audio and Pro DJ equipment in the United States, based just outside of the vibrant and thriving Washington, DC.

    We are searching for a full time experienced sales professional to add to our Pro Audio/Pro DJ department specializing in Live Sound Reinforcement, Installed Sound Solutions, Studio Recording, Pro-DJ, Lighting, and related sales.

    Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years sales experience and/or professional Pro Audio related experience and expertise.

    Candidates should be well versed in the technology, make and models of some or all of the following:

    • Analog and Digital Mixers
    • Installed Sound Solutions
    • Speakers and Line Arrays
    • Wired and Wireless Microphones
    • Studio Equipment
    • DJ Controllers and Media Players
    • Lights, DMX, Truss

    Position type: Full Time, 40 hrs per week

    Candidates must have a passion for music and music technology. Candidates should be self-motivated, computer literate with a basic understanding of email and Microsoft Excel and enjoy working with a wide variety of people.

  • Web Product Specialist

    Chuck Levin’s has an entry-level full-time position open on our web team for a product build and order fulfillment specialist. As part of our growing web-team, you will be responsible for building and auditing product information for products to be listed online. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing support to our order fulfillment specialist when necessary; including order processing, live chat and basic customer service duties.

    Ideal candidates will possess strong written communication skills and knowledge of musical instruments. Band and orchestral instrument knowledge/experience is highly preferred.

        Duties Include:
      • Pulling and compiling data from multiple sources (price files, inventory reports, manufacturer’s websites, etc.) to create comprehensive and accurate listings
      • Running and manipulating Excel reports in order to populate a master audit file (ability to sort, filter, copy/paste, etc.)
      • Basic order processing duties (product retrieval, printing pick/pack lists, printing labels and packing for shipment)
      • Live Chat and customer service (engage with customers who initiate live chat on our site and gather info to pass them to the appropriate salesperson)
      • Other duties as assigned
          • Requirements:
          • High School Diploma or GED – Some college preferred
          • Minimum 1 year professional experience in a data entry or customer service related field
          • Strong computer skills – ability to learn custom programs and workflows easily
          • Excellent written communication skills – To be assessed from cover letters (required for application)
          • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
          • Saturday availability required
            Job Details:
          • Full-time 40hrs per week
          • Schedule is Saturday 10:00am to 6:00pm; weekdays 9:00am to 5:30pm with one day off midweek (not Mondays)

    • Orchestral String Instrument Repair Technician

      Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center has an immediate opening for highly skilled and experienced Orchestral String Instrument repair technicians. Located just outside of the nation’s capital, Chuck Levin’s has been the leading independent strings retailer since 1958.

      We are interested in seasoned veteran repair technicians as well as recent repair school graduates. Applicants must have the ability to perform all manner of repairs on instruments of the violin family, including double bass.

      Graduate certification from an accredited repair school or two years of instrument repair experience is required.

    • Accounts Payable Clerk

      We have an immediate opening for a fulltime Accounts Payable Clerk to process a large volume of invoices, enter order confirmations, and verify costs against purchase orders.

        Requirements:
      • Five or more years of Accounts Payable and Inventory Control experience (utilizing purchase orders and receiving reports).
      • Ability to resolve vendor disputes and reconcile vendor statements.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
      • College-level basic Accounting.
      • Knowledgeable in basic Accounting procedures, practices, and principles.
      • Ability to determine work priorities to meet scheduled deadlines and terms of invoices.
      • Ability to follow, apply, and interpret instructions.
      • Must have great communication skills to interact with both co-workers and vendors.
      • Must be able to multitask and take on new tasks as assigned.

    • Receptionist/Shipping Administrator

      Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center seeks dependable full-time receptionist to assist Administration and Shipping departments.

      Qualified candidates must have at least two years of receptionist or general office experience.

      Job requires ability to multi-task and interface with various people via email, phone, and in person. Person should be outgoing and enjoy dealing directly with customers. Excellent communication and typing skills are essential. Candidates must be able to answer phones professionally and assist with data entry and filing.

      Flexibility to work some evenings and/ or Saturdays is required. A background in shipping assistance is highly preferred. The position will entail assisting with shipping quotes, generating accurate shipping labels, and comparing shipping costs across multiple platforms to find the most cost effective and time efficient method possible.

      Basic knowledge of musical equipment is a plus.

    • Summer Band Shop Assistants

      Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center (Wheaton, MD) has openings for our seasonal summer help positions. The job will start early June and will end mid August.

      This job will involve cleaning and processing school band instruments. Training will be provided, but musicians and/or music majors are preferred.

      All candidates must be able to lift 30lbs.

      The schedule will be full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with the opportunity to work overtime. Applicant needs to be available for continuous attendance for these 9 weeks.
