This preamp offers a high headroom and low noise floor. This is combined with the powerful and flexible EQ section to deliver desired tonal shaping possibilities.
The Warwick OnBoard Electronic is an extremely low noise active circuit, but with the flick of a switch, this can be turned into a “passive” circuit. When in passive mode, the treble pot is then transformed into a traditional “tone” knob. There are 2 options for powering the circuit. It comes standard with a built in mini USB charger. This can be charged with the supplied USB PSU or from any standard USB charger such as that from your cell phone or computer. The other option is to run it from a standard 9 volt battery if preferred. There is a battery connector inside the control cavity supplied for this purpose.
BEAUTY IN DESIGN DETAIL
Even the electronic cover plates are created from handcrafted wood. EQ Coverplates are backed with a high quality electronic shielding and created from the same wood used for the body, handcrafted by the Master Luthiers to further emphasis the beauty of the Masterbuilt Basses. Push Buffers are mounted just below the cover plate to gently push the plate out of the cavity once the screws are removed, enabling quick release of the cover and fast access to the EQ or battery components.
