THE MARCUS BONNA STORY
The story of Marcus Bonna Cases begins in São Paulo, Brazil in 1990. Marcus Bonna, a horn player in the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra since 1982, suffered an accident and injured his back. Most of the cases for instruments at that time were bulky and heavy and so he developed a case for himself that was lighter and more compact while still offering a high degree of protection. His colleagues noticed his case and asked for cases as well, and so the MB-1 Horn Case was born.
The Munich Philharmonic Orchestra was playing in São Paulo in 1991 and their horn players were very impressed by Marcus' cases and asked where they could get one. In order to be able to facilitate these requests, he formed Marcus Bonna Cases. Today The company has 45 employees and sends around 480 cases per month all around the globe. All cases are handmade with painstaking attention to detail. Marcus Bonna cases fit a wide variety of instruments and are made to last a lifetime.
Other colors are available by special order (see specifications tab) and there will be an upcharge for any leather case. Contact us to place orders for these items.
